The creation of our hand pictures for MEND started unsuccessfully after many attempts at using on-line artists. Frustrated, I remembered over 10 years ago paging through a sketchbook that a young high school student was carrying with him in one of my exam rooms. His cartoon drawings were amazingly detailed, nothing short of comic book worthy. I then placed a call to him, explained my vision, and he was immediately on board. Our process was quite simple. I would take pictures depicting our experts in their craft and Briar put them on paper. A year later and MEND has over 20 beautifully drawn images with more to come.
